As Halloween is approaching, some of you are planning a party. To make it a perfect Halloween party, there’s a ton of things you have to remember about. For that, I got you a set of lists to help you out. As always, everything below the post :)
You have to decide what type of a party should you throw. Is it a kid-friendly family get together, a work-related gathering, or a crazy college shindig. That is why, a proper guest list will be of much help. Also remember to check if your guests RSVPed, as Halloween is a very party heavy day, when fun is being had all over the city.
Before the Party
Before the guests arrive, it is nice to know what will they be doing at your place. Write up a list of activities to do, make a sketch of decorations, or a list of what should be decorated. After all that, combine the two into a shopping list, to limit the number of trips to the shops, when you forget something.
On a budget? BYOD/B(bring your own drink/booze) policy, or inviting people to bring some sharing food, can lower your expenses, to leave money for decorations.
Separate the party into sections. Some party planners use four main sections: entrance, food, drink, music. That way, you’ll avoid newly arrived guest bumping into dancing people.
Clearly express if the party is a costume party. Consequently, you won’t end up with a half and half party of costumed and not costumed people.
If you have a clearly costume party, be prepared, for someone showing up without a costume nonetheless. Dollar store masks, or old sheets, or even a roll of toilet paper can make a passing costume, and the uncostumed friend won’t have to be the only “strangely” dressed.
